Jim Barry Wines is a family wine company situated in the Clare Valley, one and a half hours north of Adelaide.  We are medium sized winery with a focus on producing award winning estste grown Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and hard working individual for the 2013 vintage. Starting in January 2013 the successful candidate will work closely with a small team of dedicated winemakers and cellar staff in all areas of wine operations. The position will be ideal for a recent graduate in Oenology who is looking to make the next step and  gain exposure in all areas of winery operations.

Duties and Responsibilities will include

• some shift supervision
• fermentation management
• general cellar operations - we are a premium focused winery with a small team
• grape sampling

Candidates will require the following

• Received or will complete Degree or equivalent in Oenology
• previous vintage experience
• be prepared to live in Clare and to work on shift as required during the vintage period
• be fit and healthy with the capacity to maintain a sense of humour in a challenging environment
• a valid car licence
