We are seeking a progressive and suitably experienced Vineyard Manager to head up our Devil’s Corner vineyard team based in Tasmania, near Bicheno.

About the Vineyard: Located on the East Coast of Tasmania (near Bicheno), The Devil’s Corner Vineyard is a picturesque cool climate vineyard comprising 186Ha of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, producing Australia’s #1 Pinot Noir and a range of award winning wines across multiple premium price points.

The Opportunity: Reporting to the Chief Viticulturist the role includes responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day management of this vineyard, as well as the development of some new plantings. A major focus will be on the production of high-quality fruit at an appropriate cost. This is a unique opportunity to manage Tasmania’s largest vineyard operation.

What’s Required: The successful applicant will demonstrate experience in the management of vineyard operations including knowledge of cool-climate viticultural techniques, excellent communication and leadership skills, financial management skills and an ability to undertake all administrative duties related to vineyard operation.

Competency in staff management, machinery operations and a commitment to Quality Systems are all essential elements to succeed in this position. A qualification in Viticulture or other related area would be desirable but not essential.
