Pizzini Wines is a family owned and operated company leading the King Valley wine region in the production of both Italian and French varietals. We are looking for a passionate vineyard manager who is committed to delivering quality and excellence, and willing to become part of the company’s long-term success. We have 180 acres of vineyards in a cool climate area, and over the past 15 years have developed a strong reputation for producing consistently great wines.

The Role requires a person with practical vineyard experience, as well as tertiary education in viticulture or other related area. The major responsibilities of the role are:

 -       Manage and train existing employees & contract labour

-       Pest & disease control

-       Budgets & administrative duties

-       Develop & maintain viticulture programs

-       Deliver high quality grapes according to yield objectives and quality parameters

-       Soil management

-       Water management and irrigation scheduling

-       Harvesting

The person we are looking for possess the following attributes:

-       Excellent communication skills

-       Practical vineyard management experience (min 3 years)

-       Relevant tertiary education

-       Proven track record of people management

-       A ‘hands on’ approach

-       Reliable, independent & hard working

-       Passionate about cool climate viticulture and ‘alternative varietals’

-       Ability to operate vineyard equipment
