Best’s is currently Founded in 1866 by Henry Best, Best’s Great Western is an Australian icon. Still family owned and managed by the Thomson family, now in its fifth generation, Best’s produces an extraordinary range of premium varietal wines from some of Australia's oldest vineyards. These include the legendary Bin O Shiraz as well as Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Riesling and Dolcetto.

Based in the Grampians region, Victoria, Best’s Great Western is located between Ararat and Stawell, a three hour drive from Melbourne. The Grampians is home to a range of award-winning wineries and restaurants, with popular tourist destination Halls Gap located in the heart of the Grampians Ranges.      

Best's Great Western is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated cellar hand to join its compact team. The successful candidate will enjoy participating in the full spectrum of winemaking and cellar work and make a significant contribution in the production of some of Australia’s finest, Langton's classified wines.

The successful candidate will have:

-          Excellent work ethic, reliability and integrity

-          An energetic, professional and dedicated attitude

-          Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask

-          Ability to work within a compact team

-          Ability to supervise and direct others when required

-          Ability to implement and supervise necessary OH&S procedures

-          Proven track record of achieving and maintaining high work standards

Hands-on vintage and cellar experience are essential and a practical familiarity with bottling and packaging equipment is highly desirable. A current forklift licence, confined spaces ticket, tertiary qualifications and previous supervisory experience will be highly regarded, but not essential.
