Australias leading developer and provider of membrane based wine processing systems has an exciting opportunity for a technically minded individual to work in a dynamic team environment. Due to increased demand Memstar requires the services of a hands-on Operator for its fee-for-service and equipment rental business in McLaren Vale, South Australia. The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for the day to day operation and successful completion of service and rental contracts. 

The role will include:

Assisting the Operations Manager to schedule contracts and operate plant and materials in a timely and efficient manner.
Operation and maintenance of plant and materials in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures to provide a safe working environment.
Ensuring customer service contract requirements are completed as specified.
Preparing and maintaining operations documentation in full as required.
Promoting and explaining Memstar technology and implementation to clients.
Generation of new fee-for-service, rental and sales enquiries.

Frequent extended periods of travel to the wine regions of South Australia and Victoria, with some travel to NSW and WA when required.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a background in the wine industry and be familiar with cellar operations and have a strong capability for the independent operation and maintenance of advanced equipment. 
Requirements Essential skills for the role:

Previous experience as a plant operator
The ability to work effectively in difficult and isolated situations
Extended periods away from home is a prerequisite, from 1-2 weeks at a time
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Forklift licence, Medium Rigid Truck Licence and a current First Aid Certificate are preferable, not essential.
