Innocent Bystander is a medium sized wine business employing 60 committed and dedicated staff in Healesville (Yarra Valley), 1 hour east of Melbourne's CBD.

The business is unique in terms of its vertical integration from grape growing and winemaking to on site retail & hospitality, internet based marketing/selling and a strong presence in domestic and key overseas markets. The business is not seeking growth; rather it is focused on improving grape and wine quality, internal systems and disciplines, efficiency and building our reputation with the goal of long term sustainability.

In response to the rapidly evolving wine market in Australia, the business is embarking on a significant restructure of its operations, making this an exciting time to join the business.

Reporting directly to the CFO you will provide timely and accurate management reports. This will include responsibility for the production of weekly sales reports; weekly & monthly hospitality reports; quarterly management reports; overseeing the payment and calculation of various taxes; and, providing ad-hoc financial reports and commercial analysis as required by the senior management team.

This full-time role will suit a talented CA/CPA qualified Accountant who is ready for their next challenge. You must be able to demonstrate relevant experience in the wine and/or hospitality industry and have a sound understanding of internal control procedures.

With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will be a determined self-starter eager to make a difference to the business. Strong IT skills and experience with MYOB and hospitality POS systems will be a distinct advantage.

An attractive salary package will be in the range of $70,000 - $85,000 depending on level of experience. Further information about our expectations and the role will be forwarded upon request.
