We currently have a Bottling Line Supervisor position available in our Production department.

Job Summary: To direct production line activities at various locations

Essential Functions:
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
•Monitor production line operations in their entirety, to include the following:
•Direct the activities of all production line employees, including Rovers and Line Captains assigned to each line.
•Ensure all packaging elements are correct per the specifications prescribed for each individual package format.
•Responsible for communicating to department management any potential or realized problems with wine product, wine packaging, or packaging equipment.
•Report production throughput, down time, and production status in a timely manner to Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
•Responsible for emergency response training and real response actions (i.e., head counts, proper and appropriate evacuations from facilities).
•Responsible for regular monthly safety tailgate meetings and their appropriate documentation.
•Report bottling line observations to Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
•Responsible for plant sanitation and monitoring action plans to maintain sound GMP’s and orderly housekeeping.

Other Functions:
•Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for employees and notifying Management and Safety Director of any potential safety issues.
•Responsible for ensuring company policies are followed by all employees.
•Assist the Production Supervisors with annual appraisals of all hourly employees.
•Advise the Production Supervisors of the temp work force progress, noting potential of on-call candidates.
•Assist with monthly inventories.
•Report final production counts at end of shift.
•Record keeping of daily down time with specific reasons for down time.
•Keep appraised of product analysis.
•Responsible for notification of other departments (i.e. Maintenance, QC, Cellar) in the event of production schedule changes.
•Maintain working knowledge of SAP data entry and database query.
•Maintain effective relationship with other departments.

Working Conditions:
•Must be able to work long hours.
•Must be flexible to work any given shift and overtime.
•Must be able to work at any Sutter Home production facility.

Qualifications:
•Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing environment, preferably food and/or beverage manufacturing.
•Ability to work all shifts, including swing shift and graveyard,
•Proven track record of leadership skills.
•Have demonstrated abilities to multi task in a fast-paced production environment.
•Must demonstrate ability to verbally communicate clearly and concisely.
•Demonstrate abilities to generate written reports and documentation of production events.
•Have strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to be a team leader.
•Possess basic computer skills.
•Knowledge of Production policies and procedures.
•Excellent safety record/knowledge.
•BA or BS degree strongly desired.
